Robert E. Cohen
Robert Cohen, Managing Partner of Benson Oak, has 16 years experience in private equity, investment banking and financial advisory activities and currently manages all operations of BOC.
He is actively involved in the monitoring of all BOC investments, serving on the Supervisory Boards of AVG Technologies, Bochemie and Grapo Technologies. Mr. Cohen has served on AVG’s Board since 2003 and handled all strategic financing issues for the company from 2004 until late 2005, during which time he implemented the financial function at AVG, and executed its first corporate acquisitions.
Mr. Cohen previously managed Benson Oak’s corporate finance advisory business and has participated in numerous financing transactions in the Central European region, including loan, bond, multilateral and equity financings for Czech Airport Authority, CEZ (Czech power company), Unipetrol (petrochemicals and oil refinery), Czech Railways, among others.
Mr. Cohen has a Master's Degree in International Affairs from the Johns Hopkins School of Advanced International Studies (SAIS) and a Bachelor's Degree from the University Pennsylvania's Wharton School of Business. Mr. Cohen is a citizen of the United States; he has lived in Prague since 1994, speaks fluent Czech and understands Slovak.
