Once completed, BOC takes an active role in each of our investments. Beyond the institution of strong corporate governance rules, team members work regularly with each of our portfolio companies as smaller businesses often require supplementation of their current management team. BOC leverages its experience by not only interacting with company’s executives, but by making introductions to potential partners and above all, helping to guide strategy at the Board of Directors level.
Execution of follow-on acquisitions in conjunction with our existing portfolio companies is a key part of BOC’s post-investment support. These activities can include guiding management through the strategic decision-making process behind an acquisition to executing the transaction itself; regardless of the task, BOC leverages Benson Oak’s years of experience as an M&A advisor to help our companies make the right acquisition at the right price. With the support of BOC, current portfolio companies Plastkov, Bochemie and AVG have all successfully completed domestic or international acquisitions.
